"Its sweater weather."
- The Neighborhood
It is officially fall, and it is definitely starting to show. Shorts and tanktops and flipflops are being put in the back of closets for the year, and jeans and jackets and hoodies are coming to the front.
With the chilly weather, fall also brings things that are exciting and give you 'family days.'
For example, 2 weekends ago, my family and I went to the Pumpkin patch, and basically spent the whole day there. We were able to have fun with pig races, and ride on a tractor. It was definitely a competition of who could find the best pumpkin between my brother and I.
And then when we did find all of our pumpkins, we picked vegetables. it was so much fun, and it felt great to be with my family all day. Cooler weather also brings football season, and Halloween! I know that the majority of high schoolers don't dress up for Halloween and go trick or treating, but there are usually parties and you can take your younger siblings trick or treating, or stay at home and hand out candy to trick or treaters. Football season also brings you closer with your family, whether through rivalries or rooting on the same team, its a way to be with them.
Even though it is cold outside, and the summer is gone, its beautiful outside. With the leaves beginning to change color and fall of the trees, it gives us a nice change of scenery from all of the greens and bright flowers from the summer. Embrace fall, and bring out your hoodies for sweater weather.
