"Happy, Happy, Happy."
-Phil Robertson
If you watch the hit T.V. show Duck Dynasty, then you can obviously see that Phil Robertson has all the secrets to being 'Happy, Happy, Happy ." He seems to have the simple, yet important word all figured out in his life. Happy. Phil seems to be a simple man. Although he is paid several hundred thousand dollars an episode, Phil seems to be one of the few on the show that stuck to his roots. He doesn't focus on materialistic items or money to make him happy. He appears happiest around his family, hunting, or just hanging out with Miss K.
Phil's constant saying, "Happy, Happy, Happy", began to make me think, what makes me happy? What was the happiest moment I had today, this week, this month, this year, and even in my lifetime? When I started to consider my options, I was amazed at the number of events, people, and places that entered my mind. I don't think its just one thing that makes you happy. It is an accumulation of things that come together at a specific moment in time. I believe we have a lot to do with creating those moments. By staying positive, surrounding yourself with the people you love and the people who love you, and by living your life to the fullest, you make those moments possible.
So....Happy. What exactly does it mean to you?
Does it mean doing what makes you feel good about yourself? Or does it mean doing something that makes you feel cheerful and content?
I think each of us has our own definition and we each have unique things that make us happy. Tonight or this week watch an episode of Duck Dynasty. Tell me why you think Phil is constantly "Happy, Happy, Happy" and tell me your own definition of happy and what exactly makes you happy.
